The Shift View presents scheduling information in a columnar format that lists each shift for a particular day or week across the topmost row, employee count reference numbers down the leftmost column, and the Employee/Position Chooser along the rightmost column.
The shift coverage planner is docked at the bottom of the screen and can be used to compare the number of assigned employees to the number of required employees. You can enter shift coverage requirements for a specific shift after selecting either position, skill, or reason from the shift coverage planner.
Each cell corresponds to a specific employee and a shift. On a particular day or week, all employees assigned to a shift are listed in cells underneath the shift. Multiple assignments in one cell are not allowed, but if an employee is scheduled to work a shift more than once, a will be displayed and it is up to you to resolve the conflict.
You can configure the Shift View and your settings will be saved until you modify them again. You can also perform many schedule view functions that are common across the schedule views, including the Shift View.
Unlike the Daily View by Shift, employee's assignments (rather than days) are shown in the cells under the shifts in the Shift View. There are four ways to make shift assignments. You can select one or multiple cells. Drag the mouse from the bottom-right corner of a cell to select as many dates as you want to schedule. You can also use the keyboard to select multiple dates by holding down the Shift key and pressing the arrow keys to move around.
Drag an employee from the Employee Chooser and drop it into a cell.
With cell(s) selected, select an employee in the Employee Chooser, and click Assign.
Right-click cell(s) and select Shift Assignment, then click Assign an Employee, choosing an employee.
Click in the menu bar, choosing an employee.
The Shift View allows you to create open shift opportunities for your employees to bid on using Employee Remote Access. There are two ways to create an open shift opportunity in the Shift View. You can select one or multiple cells. Drag the mouse from the bottom-right corner of a cell to select as many dates as you want to schedule. You can also use the keyboard to select multiple dates by holding down the Shift key and pressing the arrow keys to move around.
Right-click cell(s) and select Open Shift / Callout, then click Create an open shift for employee bidding... or Call Out employees in a prescribed order....
Click next to in the menu bar, and select Create an Open Shift for Employee Bidding or Call Out Employees in a Prescribed Order.
